Rauls Club was a bar and nightclub in Austin, and was the epicenter of Austin's punk rock scene between 1978 and 1982. Originally a Tejano club, Raul's was located across from the northwest end of the University of Texas campus. It was the first club of its kind in Austin and the only venue for punk new wave bands for some time. Successful bands broadened their fan base by playing at other Austin venues, too, such
